Lou Dobbs probably has something in common with The New York Times‘ David Brooks: They both eat their lunch alone. Brooks is different, though, in that he is a thoughtful, reasonable conservative surrounded by a mostly left-of-center NYT staff. Dobbs, well, not so much.
By reintroducing an issue that has already been debunked as a fresh and undealt with accusation is dangerous and irresponsible. As a supposed news anchor, Dobbs is merely peddling paranoia for the sake of ratings, sacrificing whatever shards of credibility he had left. Will CNN do something about it, or will they welcome editorialized news a la FOX News?
