Sure, sure, 2008 was a grand political year, full of drama, intrigue, history and comedy. But once the data were crunched, about the same percentage of Americans voted as they did in 2004. Big whoopedy doo.
There were significant increases in turnout among blacks, Latinos, and young voters. Unfortunately, these increases were offset by the less than enthusiastic turnout by other groups. Mainly people like these flame-throwing fellows:
